We are on our final week of my 20-day tip streak and this week I am going to focus on long-term planning. Each day I am going to review one of the concepts we learned and teach you how to make it a regular habit.
Consistency is the most important aspect of marketing in general… and in my opinion it’s the hardest, especially when it comes to digital marketing. Work gets busy and it’s easy to take a day, a week, or even a month off. My answer to that is to schedule content a month at a time. You can email me at [email protected] to get the content calendar template that I use for my own marketing and my clients’ marketing.
I recommend taking one day each month to write three-six posts a week, one email a week, one livestream script a week, and plan which photos you need. The first time it seems daunting, but you’ll quickly realize that once you do it, it’s done! Then, you just have ten to fifteen minutes of daily implementation work.
I call this content batching. I recommend it not only for its time efficiency but also for the ability it gives you to plan themes (I recommend one per week) and make sure you aren’t giving away too much content in one post, email or video. For example, why list the top ten reasons to visit your restaurant in one day when you could spread it out over ten?
Now, a month’s worth of content is a lot of content… so tomorrow I will be back with writing prompts to get your juices flowing!
