For most businesses, focusing on Facebook and email marketing, with Instagram added for B2C businesses is a good place to start. However, many B2B businesses have asked me, “What’s the best tool for me?”
In addition to Facebook and email marketing, I recommend LinkedIn… not for direct marketing (please don’t email sales pitches via LinkedIn—people really don’t respond well to it) but just as a way to establish expertise. One of the ways to do this is to publish an article. Out of all business on LinkedIn, only about 2% do this. Not only does it link to your profile but all of your connections are notified when you publish it.
I’ve included a screenshot of how to post an article at the right. It’s very simple—instead of publishing a post, simply click “article,” and follow the steps. Even B2C businesses can benefit from this added visibility on LinkedIn.
After you’re done with the article, pick a fun fact from it and post it across your other social media channels.
And remember… I believe in simplicity… so if you already have a great piece of content that you can use for an article, there’s no need to start from scratch… just post it and enjoy the added visibility.
