Your social media is the beginning of your online marketing success, NOT THE END. In today’s video, I explain why, as well as below…
So many people think there’s something magic about social media that they need to figure out for it to lead to more sales, which makes me sad– because it ends in those people spending hours and hours “fixing” their social media– and those hours don’t matter if OTHER key ingredients are missing.
The key reason I teach online marketing to business owners and professionals is because I know that people are spending WAY TOO MUCH TIME AND MONEY focused on social media platforms, and not nearly enough time integrating the tools outside of their social media platforms to ultimately LEAD TO SALES from those platforms.
In other words, people don’t build a funnel with their social media so it stays flat.
A funnel can sound like a scary concept, but it’s really a fancy way of saying that you are building and deepening relationships with a potential customers until they become paying customers. That’s it. It’s a series of simple, relationship-building steps.
If you put two social media accounts side-by-side on whatever platform you choose, the person with ordinary, once-a-week posts and a few dozen followers could be bringing in just as much (or more) revenue than the person with gorgeous daily posts and a few hundred (or thousand) followers because the DIFFERENCE is NOT in their social media, it’s IN THEIR FUNNELS.
Your social media is the beginning of your online marketing success, NOT THE END. If social media was the ultimate key to bringing in revenue, no one with a business profile would be frustrated. But that’s just not the case.
