In the world of marketing, bigger isn’t always better. While many brands chase influencers with massive followings, there’s an overlooked group making a huge impact—micro influencers. These are creators with 1,000 to 10,000 followers who have built strong, engaged communities. And the best part? Their audiences trust them.
Why? Because smaller audiences = more trust.
When someone has grown their audience organically, they’ve likely built deeper relationships—whether it’s through personal interactions or by providing immense value. With a smaller audience, engagement is stronger, connections are more personal, and recommendations carry more weight. That’s just basic division!
If you’re a corporate brand, I encourage you to explore building a portfolio of micro influencers. Not only is it a cost-effective strategy, the trust among micro influencer’s audiences leads to quicker conversions and more loyalists.
And if you’re a personal brand, take this as encouragement! Many of the individuals I work with worry about their follower count, but the reality is—your smaller audience could be your greatest strength.
Keep showing up, keep providing value, and remember—quality over quantity wins in the long game.
I truly believe 2025 will be the year of the micro influencer.
